Ark Research Project Newsletter - May 1998

.................................... INTRODUCTION .........................................

Hello! I am Matthew Kneisler and I have a Web site entitled: "The Search for Noah's Ark". After receiving hundreds of letters, several people have requesting that I send them some "up-to-date" information about the on-going search for Noah's Ark. Here it is.

First, I despise receiving bulk email when I have no interest in the subject, so, please respond to this letter with "REMOVE" in the subject or body and I will be happy to oblige. Once I receive your response, you will not receive any more newsletters. On the other hand, if you know of others who would like to receive this information, please have "them" let me know. My email address is: mkneisler@arksearch.com and I will add their name to the list.

Next, I have been invited to be part of an expedition to Mount Ararat. The expedition team is "Ark Research Project" and is directed by James Hall [profhall@cwix.com]. The newsletter will be primarily based upon information our team finds. And, for this reason the newsletter will be published under the "Ark Research Project" banner.

We invite you to "talk it up", let your friends know about this effort. Although a few names are listed on the Team below, it is the fascination and drive of thousands of individuals that have "asked" questions, "prayed" about things and have provided "encouragement" in this effort. And I believe, this is why the Team has come about. See the Web site to learn more about the Team and why they were selected.

I personally want to pass on a word of thanks the thousands of visitors for all the encouragement and support that I have received at my site. I was about to cancel my AOL account and hang it up when I began to receive a considerable amount of email containing encouragement. I then decided to continue the site for their benefit not mine. When our actions become "selfless" they take on a whole new meaning......thanks to you.

Here are a few examples of such a responses:

"Dear Mr. Kneisler,

I am very appreciative of the work you've done. I have always been very curious about the Ark's location and history, but couldn't find the right publication. I was floored by your research and will enjoy studying the information. God bless you" SN 2/5/97

"Hi There,

I pray that people will get a hold of this site and begin to realize that the bible is the true word of the living God. The Ark is one of the evidence. I praise God for people like you who gives God all the Glory. I pray that you will be bless by God for this expedition and that he will give you wisdom to deliver this action. I will pray for you and thank God for your boldness.

Keep the Faith" L 2/27/97

"Congratulations on a thorough and educational page on Noah and the ark/flood. Your arguments for creation vs. evolution are insightful. Unfortunately, our children are not given a choice in public schools whether or not to believe creationism. They are only given the evolution "facts". No other choice is provided. Keep up the good work and may God bless your efforts." MO 3/1/97

"I love your page keep it coming. The subject of Noah's ark is very interesting to me! Keep the info flowing!!" PV 3/4/97

"Dear Matthew

I have been following your site for a few months now. Can't wait for the day when the Ark is finally found. I know of quite a few people who will be shocked to the core when this does eventually happen. Most notably a German girlfriend (evolutionist, new-age type) who believes that the bible is a nice collection of fairy tales to be read to kids. Confronted with a 150 metre long wooden barge 13 000 feet up the side of a mountain, I am not too sure how she will react........ Then again, there will be those who will be spiritually blinded no matter what evidence is thrust before them.

Anyway. can't chat for too long, but keep up the good work and hope to hear good news from you in the not too distant future.

Yours in Christ

The Web is truly "Worldwide" take a look at the map at the bottom of "The Search for Noah's Ark" [http://www.arksearch.com] the globe is almost colored in!!!

And now for the news ......

...................................... THE PURPOSE .........................................

Ark Research Project was an officially recognized United States organization in February 1998, when it received non-profit tax-exempt status from the IRS. The organizational purpose is to, "conduct research into locating the legendary Noah's Ark of the Bible. The revelation of the existence of such an archaeological and religious object would be of utmost scientific, religious, and educational value to the people of the United States and the World."

The Ark Research Project team is planing an expedition to Mount Ararat in northeastern Turkey in August 1999.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Words of encouragement, shared interest and enthusiasm are great ways to share your thoughts with us. However, due to the volume of email, it is nearly impossible to "personally" respond to all letters. If you would like a response from your email, please let us know and we will try our best to do so accordingly.

..................................... OTHER NEWS ...........................................

CIA CLASSIFIED PHOTOS

As some of your are aware, the CIA made a public statement November 1997 that they were about to release previously classified photos of Noah's Ark. Because of my Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests [http://www.arksearch.com/nausgov.htm], their release of the photos will satisfy my request. After talking to their personnel, I found that I was #2 in line to receive the photos. However, since that news release, I have not heard from them, and I believe that they have not released the photos as planned. I will query their system in a few days.

Any information that I receive will be posted on my site and linked to the Ark Research Project site as well. Stay tuned.....

UNITED STATES STATE DEPARTMENT

Additionally, the US State Department has information about Mount Ararat and will release it to me under another FOIA request as they get around to it. I feel that the information is in reference to President Nixon's involvement in the search for Noah's Ark in the early 70's. More on this as the information trickles in.

OTHER EXPEDITIONS

I am in touch with a few other Ark searchers and researchers. I have heard of a couple of teams planning to go to Ararat this summer. However, the winter was very wet and cold. This causes a good build-up of snow and as such a good glacial pack.

If you have studied my Web site, you will know that a successful expedition requires a warm dry winter and summer so that the glaciers are a their lowest levels. This provides the most mountain surface exposure and the best chances for locating the Ark.

........................................ Last Thought ....................................

People talk about "discovering" Noah's Ark. Well, if you think about it, many of us know that it is there already. We have put our faith in the accuracy of the Bible and know that Noah's Ark rests on the "mountains of Ararat". So, to many of us, the Ark will be more of a "revealing" than a discovery. And we will patiently wait until God is ready to "reveal" Noah's Ark to the world and humbly give Him the glory.

........................................ Special Offer ......................................
