Research Project Newsletter - July 2003
INTRODUCTION
As many of you know we have been praying
and waiting patiently to make an expedition to Turkey to search for Noah's Ark. This
requires that we get special permission from the Turkish government to explore Mount
Ararat. We have been informed that no such permits will be issued for 2003.
And once again, we must focus our efforts on 2004.
Our team does have
encouraging news and you can read more about it in the "From the Director"
section below.
Matthew Kneisler
FROM THE DIRECTOR
The primary reason
for this newsletter is to inform you of a recent opportunity for our team. I have been informed by one of our team members (a
Turkish Professor) of his recent visit to one of the new government ministries in Ankara,
Turkey. He presented our project, The Search
for Noahs Ark, to this government ministry. As
a result of his presentation, they became very interested and expressed a willingness to
help our team. I wish to take advantage of
this opportunity by traveling to Turkey this fall, to continue the dialog with the
government ministry, to present our written proposal in person and finally to generate a
10-year permit to explore Mount Ararat.
I have
presented this recent development to other interested people and as a direct result our
team has received donations. This has
encouraged me to write this newsletter to you asking for your prayers and financial
support. It is extremely important that we
follow up on this opportunity and not let the open door close.
If you are
interested in supporting our effort to travel to Turkey, please send your contribution to:
Ark Research Project
107 Buckingham Drive
Lynchburg, VA 24502
Your
contribution is tax-deductible and our business manager will mail you a receipt for tax
purposes.
As
a special offer, for a minimum contribution of $25 or more, you will recieve a copy
of my book,The History of Life. This will be sent to the
first 45 contributors. The book is very unique with over 110 pictures covering the
evidences for creation and showing support for the first 10 chapters of Genesis.
If we are
able to travel to Turkey this fall and if our team is issued the permit from the Turkish
government, then I believe we will able to finally launch an expedition. Remember, we wish
to use this discovery as an evangelical tool to help win souls prior to the return of
Christ for His church.
Yours in Christ,
Prof. James L. Hall,
Director
